Baseball vs Hollidaysburg 2008

Raiders win by a touchdown.

 The Bellefonte Red Raiders hold off the Tigers of Hollidaysburg and win by a touchdown. WAIT! This was a baseball game. Looking at the score only, one would almost think this was a football score.The Tigers started off cold and had only 1 hit through 3 innings but things would soon change. The Raiders on the other hand had 5 runs 5 hits over their first 3 innings. The 4th inning is when the batting clinic started. The Tigers came close to batting through the lineup twice. With 11 hits the Tigers scored 11 runs including a Grand Slam coming from Tyler Sell and a 3 run Homer from Smith. The Raiders went 3 up and 3 down in the bottom of the 4th but turned around and showed the Tigers they could rally the bats too. A.J. Jabco started the Raiders half of the 5th with a solo home run and was immediately followed by Frank Parkes'' solo homer. The Raiders added 7 more runs in the inning which included a 3 run RBI double Parkes. The Raiders took back the lead with the big rally and lead the game 14 to 11 after 5 innings of play. The Tigers added 2 more in the top of the 7th to bring themselves to within 1 run but the Raiders didn''t let up.The Raiders added another 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th to make it 21 to 13. The Tigers managed just 1 more run in the top of the 7th and the Raider''s Matt Fischer came away with the save.Final : Bellefonte 21 Hollidaysburg 14
