The Lady Eagles hosted the Lady Mounties of Philipsburg-Osceola April 25th, 2009. The Lady Mounties Pitcher Chelsea Rex kept the Lady Eagles quiet at the plate for most of the game. Rex gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and had 10 strikeouts in the loss. Her counterpart Megan Shaw pitched a full game and gave up just 3 hits and 1 run with 8 strikeouts. The Lady Mounties were first to score. Chasity Myers started off the the second with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice by Mackenzie Wilson. Chelsea Rex helped her own cause then with the RBI double just over the reach of Lady Eagles left fielder Kelly Chambers. The Eagles who had 2 hits in the first would only get 2 more the remainder of the game. The biggest hit o the game would come with 1 out in the bottom of the 6th. The Lady Eagles Taylor Parson reach first base on an error and advanced to 2nd on a sacrifice by Lily Glunt. Brooke Klinefelter launched a hard shot in to the stands in left field and put the Lady Eagles on top 2 to 1. Shaw managed the last inning well striking out 1 and got the 2 outs on a grounder and popup to shortstop and lead her team to the big win over the Lady Mounties.
